We are an historic Episcopal community rooted in tradition, while also embracing the diversity of thought, culture and spirituality that has allowed us to continue following the message of Christ since 1689.
We believe ALL ARE WELCOME, that it is our job to love and accept all of our brothers and sisters, and work towards making this world reflective of the love and acceptance given to us by God.
We believe we all have a role to play, whether it’s providing refreshments for after the service, preparing crafts and baked goods for our fairs and fundraisers, lending your voice to our choir, or helping serve as part of our outreach efforts or missions.
We believe that faith is a life-long journey, that it’s OK to not have all the answers, to have doubts and questions, and not to see the path ahead – that what is important is that you take the journey itself.

Comments from one of our families:
Our family began attending Christ Church about a dozen years ago after beginning a search for a new spiritual home in which to bring up our growing family. We were seeking a local parish, one that was vested in the community, one that offered opportunities for adult and child outreach programs, to help us renew our faith to God and be able to bring it into the community. This church home would have to be open minded, not just “tolerant”, but embracing of diversity, welcoming of others with physical or intellectual differences. It would have to be a place where our children could look up at the altar during service and see different faces, different colors, different personalities; if any of my children dreamed of a career in ministry we wanted them to know that opportunities were open to them regardless of whether they were boys or girls. This was a tall order!
We asked others about the churches they attended, what they liked, if our wish list was realistic (many said “no!” They said “Just find a church where you can be pretty comfortable and ignore what gets on your nerves!”). Happily we held stayed true to our wish list and eventually found Christ Church, the Episcopal Church in Quincy Center. We’ve been able to raise our children in a loving and accepting Christian tradition in a church home that has become important and central to our family life. We enjoy church camp getaways as a family, our children participate in service projects, altar serving, and being part of a teen group, not to mention the many friendships and bonds we enjoy.
