The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts
We are 185 congregations in cities and towns throughout eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the islands. Our congregations make up our diocese, and our diocese is part of the wider Episcopal Church, which in turn is part of a larger, global community of Anglican Christians.
Welcome. There is a place for you here.
The Anglican Church
The Anglican Communion Office, based in London, England, at St Andrew’s House, is the permanent secretariat for the Instruments of Communion. It serves the Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates’ Meetings and the Lambeth Conference, as well as commissions, committees and other groups.
Staff at St. Andrew’s House come from a diversity of countries including Pakistan, Japan, Canada, Ireland, England, Zambia and Colombia
In the face of tragedies, human made or natural, there are always questions of “How can I help?” “What can I do?” In light of the recent tornadoes, we pray and show compassion for all those affected in many places throughout the Midwest. And there is a financial way to help too. The Episcopal Relief and Development Fund (ERD Fund) provides emergency assistance in the United States and throughout the world. This fund responds to natural disasters, from floods to hurricanes to droughts, usually working through the local diocese of the Anglican Church. Often, the fund provides the “secondary” level of assistance following a disaster, after other response agencies have met the immediate needs and then left. The ERD Fund is thus often involved in the rebuilding process.
